May 5th marks a significant day in Canada – the National Day of Awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). This day is a solemn reminder of the ongoing tragedy affecting Indigenous communities across the nation. It’s a time to remember the lives lost, acknowledge the pain of families and communities, and recommit to ending the cycle of violence and injustice.
